GREEN DRESS WEDNESDAY TO IMPRESS! LINGFIELD RACECOURSE TICKET OFFER IN HONOUR OF VERNON KAY

Lingfield Park have made locals laugh out loud once again, as the racecourse announces its amusing Green Dress Wednesday offer until Wednesday 15th July, ahead of their upcoming Ladies Day on Saturday 22nd August.

The racecourse, which recently shot to fame via Vernon Kay's socials for content of their bold and hilarious grounds keepers donning green dresses, before embarking on comical activities across the track, they appear to love a tongue and cheek joke.

Kay, who loves a funny trend, created Green Dress Wednesdays on his popular radio show to see who would get on board with such a hilarious challenge, before quickly discovering the nation were more than happy to oblige. 

The Grounds Team at Lingfield Park were thrilled to get involved, showcasing a variety of different activities in their fancy outfits, from mowing the track, to pretending to race from the starting line.

Vernon, who is DJ-ing live after racing on August 22nd at the Ladies Day event at Lingfield, was delighted with the teams attempts and reshared on social media before calling them 'awesome' and 'mega'. The post had over 17 thousand likes and was an overnight sensation.

In honour of the entertaining content, racecourse bosses have now created a special discounted deal for anyone attending Ladies Day 22nd August in green attire, including the gents! 

For just £20 green clothing wearers can enjoy a full day at the races, as well as being offered a complimentary glass of fizz, beer or soft drink on arrival. Not only that, but the the Fusspots Style Awards will be taking place and Green is the theme for 2026!

Once inside the gates (they open at 15:10 with the first race at 17:10), for the first hour after gates open, ticketholders will be treated to an incredible 50% off draught drinks including Guinness, lager, cider, bitter and soft drinks, your first pint could be just £3.25! Not only that, but there is also £10 off bottles of house wine, Prosecco, Champagne or a jug of Pimm's, perfect for sharing with your friends!
